On Thursday 25 November 2018, Prime Steakhouse and Bar presents a special one-night collaboration, a special delectable dinner paired with internationally renowned whiskey distiller, Auchentoshan Whisky.
Appreciated by connoisseurs for its smooth flavor and by those new to malt whisky for its lightness and accessibility, Auchentoshan Single Malt is one of only a few remaining Lowland malts. Even in this select company, Auchentoshan is unique; while others distil only twice, Auchentoshan Distillery continues the tradition of triple distillation.
The evening was hosted directly by Mr Jamey Merkel; Brand Ambassador of Auchentoshan. Jamey is a seasoned beverage professional with a passion for whisky and cocktail, he has been in the drinks industry for well over a decade. With an illustrious career spanning over 15 years in international hospitality management, Jamey (@jameymerkel) has travelled the globe having conducted major events in over 15 countries in the world.
Around 30 special selected invitees were present for an intimate four courses menu served by Prime Steakhouse team which led by Chef Amin Gihon. Chef Amin’s food creation was paired with 12 yold, 18 Yold, 21 yold three wood whisky.
The marvelous dinner starts with Chef Amin style of amuse bouche, paired with 12 Years Old Auchentoshan single malt whisky. As an appetizer, Pan Seared Scallop known for its silky richness and delicate, served with 18 Years Old Auchentoshan.
For the final course, Guest can choose between two special courses, Grilled salmon trout served with saute asparagus, rosemary baby potato, confit tomato and lemon butter sauce or Grilled chicken breast served with pumpkin puree, saute spinach and mushroom sauce, accompanied with Auchentoshan Treewood. For the closing of the night, a luscious Mango and berry sorbet served on the glass paired with the stunning 21 Years Old Auchentosan Single Malt Whisky. Our guests were also pampered with whisky cocktail stations available for guest enjoyment and spend a memorable evening with.
